More U.S. Children Living in Poverty, But Fewer Lack Health Coverage

The number of children living in poverty grew by 4.5 million from 2008 to 2010, but the rate of uninsurance among children fell to 8.5 percent during the same period, according to a new RWJF report. The state-by-state analysis found that, while the percent of children covered by private insurance dropped, increases in public coverage more than offset these declines in most states.
