at
the National Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Health Disparity & Health
Equity Conference in
Los Angeles
From
September 25 - 26, this year's Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Health
Disparity & Health Equity Conference is an opportunity for community
leaders, health care professionals, researchers, educators, advocates and
policymakers to come together to focus on innovative concepts, methods and
research findings on health disparities that impact the Native Hawaiian and Pacific
Islander community.
OHD and The Queen Center will present successful efforts
made in Utah to address health disparities among Utah Pacific Islanders in the
areas of health care access, tobacco prevention, birth outcomes, obesity
prevention, and development of effective culturally and linguistically appropriate
outreach materials.
